Over at Mac Forums, projectmk is having issues when exporting footage from iMovie, and this time the problem’s the size ofthe picture. Projectmk explains that he is shooting using HXP mode in the highest resolution, capturing the footage at 1920 x 1080i: “I bring it into iMovie at the largest possible size option, which is FULL – 1920 x 1080. (However it says “this setting has no effect for MPEG2″ – which I believe this is?) In any event, when I go to re-export the movie using Quicktime option, it lists the current size as 960 x 540.”
Projectmk would like to know if he’s missing a part of the process while exporting, as he says when viewing the footage it “seems like I’ve lost a lot of resolution.” He also requests advice from anyone with an HG10 on what the best settings are for the camera.
Can you help? Head over to Mac Forums and give projectmk your opinion.
