I have just purchased the HG10 and I am running iMovie HD 6.03.
I cannot get the files to import into iMovie. The following error occurs

"The file could not be imported: The file “Macintosh HardDrive/Volumes/CANON_HDD/AVCHD/BDMV/STREAM/00000.MTS” can’t be imported; QuickTime couldn’t parse it: -2048"

I am also having issues with importing Sony MTS AVCHD files into FCP 6. I have been reading all the web postings and some people say using Log and Transfer can make it work if you drag the WHOLE FOLDER , not just the clips. Any ideas on this matter ? Anyone? Anyone? I use a MacBook Pro w/Intel...running the latest FCP 6 and the camcorder in question is brand new Sony SR-11 HD Hardrive unit. I like the camera a lot but I will return it if the editing workflow is not efficient.

Thanks,
